just got the confirmation from Sean that the Abseiling Proficiency Level 3 will commerce this 6-9th june.Personally i really feel like going but there's quite a number of factors stopping me and making me consider twice.Firstly,this is actually a instructor course whereby once i attained the certification,i'll be able to conduct abseiling level 1 and 2 already.The cost of the course is actually $500 and we can actually get a $250 subsidy from the Adventure Club fund.And in order to repay the adventure club,we gotta conduct the first 3 courses for free.so effectively,we only have to pay $250 plus give 3 free courses.
from my previous experience at level 2 course,the assist manager of the PA adventure team actually said that the course is pretty intensive and will be held at OBS.there's chances of failing and we gotta be damn skilled and proficient in doing the changeover within a certain time frame...well,the fact that we haven been touching all this stuff for quite some time actually puts me off for going for the course.If we have been practicing lately,i wouldn't be too scare to go for the course.secondly,if we actually fail the course,it would be a waste of time and money.and its a huge sum to let it go down the drain.Besides this,im actually concern abt the fact whether we'll be able to conduct enugh courses to get back these sum of money to breakeven.as u noe,the local abseiling scene ain't that prosperous yet or it might not be bright at all.Chances of breaking even or even getting close to that is pretty unlikely.yes,u can argue that u've learn something but the price to this is just too high especially when our CC is already sending 2 of them whereby im not very sure if they can make it plus if im going for this,i might have to forgo possible camp assignments coming up as well as sales asssignment.and even if i get to practice everyday from now...its not possible cos this coming weekend i'll be leaving for diving till sunday.Mon-Wed i'll be taking up a camp assignment.fri to sun might have to work and that onli leaves mi with next thurs free to train.and to think that i've gotta go back to camp to dekit on the thurs...haizz...i seriously lack the time and commitment to go for this course.and to come up with another 500bucks after this weekend which will cost me approximately 500 bucks is kinda difficult for me also.and that's probably why im more of like not wanting to go for the course after typing all this shit out.Probably blogging it out will help mi look at the bigger picture and i'll be able to reason out things one by one and see everything in a more rational way.hmmm...i've finally got my answer...
well,super sianz rite here cos im actually staying home to look after my niece whose down with Chicken Pox.Cause my mum is actually working part time outside and cannot change her work schedule to take care after my niece,so i shall be nice and help her out.and did i mention that i nearly forgotten my sis's bday.she msn mi today to ask for a present!!!so i just ask her to go get wat she wants and get back to mi lolz...im realli super useless @ getting gifts so i guess that's the best way lahz.hahaha...
